This email is being sent out to all parents and players of GABSA. My name is Ray Stull, I am the Fundraising Chairperson for GABSA. I am emailing everyone to inform you that we will be having a new fundraiser this year. Due to some restrictions this year we cannot do Tag Day, so the GABSA Board has decided to do a “Scentsy Fundraiser” There is two attachments explaining what it is and what it is about. I know some of you will say, “Oh my, we weren’t told about this one before”. We as a board are always thinking how to keep our cost down for registration for parents/guardians. We do the candy at registration and just two weeks ago we past out raffle tickets to sell , now we are springing this new fundraiser on everyone. I’ll try to clear it up a bit, most major area baseball leagues for youth cost between $100.00 -$200.00 per child, per year. Here at GABSA, we have only raised our registration $5.00 over the past 6yrs. That is mostly due to you, the parents, grandparents, friends and family helping by supporting our fundraisers. We believe once you see and use product you will say “we should have done this years ago”.
The lady leading this fundraiser is Tamara Black, she normally gives 10% of her commission to organizations whom are conducting the fundraiser, but this time she is donating her whole 25% commission to GABSA. That means if everyone sells at least $50.00, we as a whole organization will recieve a nice check back in return. You all have seen all the improvements we have made over the past 2 years on our fields and uniforms. But it also takes a lot of money to run this organization and we our a Non-profit. So all we are asking is give this fundraiser a try, sell to family, friends, co-workers, etc. Alot of you already use this product and now you have a way to get re-supplied.
The turn-in date for these orders are May 26, 2016, from 5:30pm – 8pm and the GABSA complex, Tamara and myself will be there to take your orders. But if you want to turn-in your orders early the attachments will explain how to do so.
I need only the team parent or manager from each team to come to GABSA Complex on either Tuesday May 3, or Friday May 6, 2016 from 5pm – 9pm to pick up your team packets.
